Women’s MTB Retreat

“Is This Retreat right for me?”

We’ve designed this experience specifically for the experienced beginner/novice to intermediate rider. You’ve been at mountain biking for a while, but you’re struggling to put the pieces together.

Does this sound like you?

📈 You’ve been riding for a while, but you’ve hit a plateau where you feel your progression has stalled out; you’re just "surviving" the features instead of actively riding them.
🌀 You’ve been struggling with maintaining momentum and "finding the flow" in those corners.
🎈 You’re starting to get some air under your tires, but you feel a bit inhibited once you’re out on the actual trails.
🌲 You can handle drops or jumps in the skills area, but they feel a lot more "real" (and intimidating!) in the wild.
🫶 You’re ready to trade hesitation for confidence on steeper sections and rock rolls with a crew of supportive women..

If you’re nodding your head to any of the above, keep reading!

The Details

When: September 10–13, 2026.

Where: Wilderness Tours, on the beautiful Ottawa River

The Arrival: We’ll kick things off Thursday afternoon/evening with a retreat welcome and opening.

The Wrap-Up: We’ll finish with some "party laps" on Sunday morning and head back to reality before lunch.

The Riding & Coaching

  • Level Up: We’ve lined up 5 sessions of on-bike coaching in small groups on the amazing trails in the Wilderness Tours Bike Park. That’s 8-10 hours of professional coaching over the whole retreat, plus opportunities for extra riding to practice and have fun.

  • Maximize the Fun: We’re including one full day and two half-days of shuttling.  ("Wait, what’s a shuttle?" It’s the ultimate mountain bike "cheat code!" A purpose-built vehicle whisks you and your bike to the top of the trail so you can save your legs for the trails and maximize your progression.)

  • Off-Bike Workshops: Learn the "why" behind your ride with a suspension set-up workshop and a bike care session, and more!

  • Small Group, Big Progression: We’re keeping this retreat intentionally small-scale to prioritize a welcoming, inclusive vibe. This intimate environment means we can really focus on your specific goals, ensuring you get the personalized attention you deserve while making meaningful, lasting friendships.

Fuel & Rest

  • All-Inclusive Dining: All meals from breakfast to dinner are covered, and we can accommodate any dietary requirement—gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, or vegetarian.

  • The Stay: Relax in the Wilderness Tours Cedar Cabins (and yes, they have toilets!).

  • Customize Your Vibe: Base stay is double occupancy, and you can upgrade your lodging or add on adventures like whitewater rafting, kayaking, or river tubing at the time of booking. Make this trip your own!

  • Downtime: There will also be plenty of time to hike, hit the beach, or just hang a hammock and stare at the trees.

Why Wilderness Tours?

As Mel tells it, “Last fall, I went to WT just to check out the trails. Halfway through my first ride, I stopped cold—I didn’t just want to bring StokedMTB here. The entire vision for a women’s mtb retreat unfolded all around me and I was all-in. I didn’t just choose this spot; it chose us.”

Here’s why:

  • 50 Years of Adventure: They’ve spent five decades perfecting the "adventure resort" vibe. The amenities are dialed, from accommodations to top-notch dining, so you can focus 100% on the dirt and 0% on the logistics.

  • Purpose-Built Progression: Their trail network is a masterclass in progression. It’s the perfect "classroom" to move from surviving features to owning them, regardless of your starting point.

  • Fresh Legs = More Laps: Their shuttle is the perfect "cheat code." We’ll save our energy for the coaching and the descents, not the climbs.

  • The "Quebec-Style" Loophole: They have that technical, flowy Quebec-style terrain right here in Ontario. In fact, you can see Quebec from the trails! (Fun fact: My insurance allows me to operate anywhere in Canada except Quebec, so this is as close to QC as StokedMTB can get!)

  • A Shared Vision: The WT team truly supports women’s inclusive programming. They aren't just providing the land; they’re invested in your breakthrough moments.

The Investment

Base price starts at $899. This covers your accommodations, all your meals, park pass, shuttling and coaching. Final pricing may shift depending on any options you choose to customize your lodging or add-on river adventures.

Quick Questions (The FAQ)

"Am I ready for this?" If you’ve been riding for a while but feel like you’ve hit a wall—or you're "surviving" features instead of riding them—yes. This retreat is specifically for the experienced beginner to intermediate rider looking to level up.

Still not sure? We’re happy to chat and make sure this is the perfect retreat for you. Simply shoot us an email here.

"What about my dietary needs?" We’ve got you. Whether you’re gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, or vegetarian, the WT kitchen team are pros at making sure you’re fueled and happy. Please be sure to mention this when registering

"Can I come solo?" Absolutely! Most riders do. We’ll pair you up in a cabin with a new riding bestie, or you can upgrade to a private cabin upgrade if you prefer your own space.

"What if it rains?" We get wet! The stoke doesn't stop for a little mud. We will press pause to wait out lightning or torrential downpours, otherwise the trails at WT handle wet conditions very well. We have access to an indoor space for our workshops.

"Is my bike right for this?" A well-maintained mountain bike is a must. A full suspension mtb is the weapon of choice, however a hardtail (front suspension only) is fine if that’s what you are rocking. If you aren't sure if your gear is up for the Bike Park, just send us a photo and we’ll help you out!
