Need to Know
Who is this clinic for?
This clinic is for riders aged 18 and up. We love seeing young riders getting stoked, but this one’s just for the adults.
What kind of bike do I need?
Mountain bikes only for this one. You’ll need a bike with knobby tires and at least a front suspension fork. The skills we teach are specific to mountain biking, so proper mountain bike setup is essential.
🚫 No hybrid, gravel, or department store bikes — for safety reasons, these bikes aren’t permitted.
Do I need previous experience?
At least some prior mountain biking experience is preferred — this clinic is designed for beginner to intermediate mountain bikers. You should be comfortable riding singletrack trails and ready to build your skills for tackling technical features like logs, rock gardens, step-ups, and other trail obstacles.
What helmet and gear are required?
A cycling-specific helmet (less than 5 years old) is required. Knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended, and we’ll have demo pads available for you to try during the session.
Do I need to pay to enter Christie Lake?
Yes — your StokedMTB registration does not include entry to Christie Lake Conservation Area. All participants are responsible for paying their own admission at the gate.

What happens if it rains?
We ride in the rain! If the weather makes trail conditions unsafe, we’ll reach out with rescheduling options.
Can I rent a bike or helmet?
We don’t offer rentals for this clinic. Please ensure your mountain bike and gear are in good working order before you arrive.
