Ready to conquer corners with total confidence? Say goodbye to panic-braking, blown turns, and lost momentum. Whether you’re trying to rail high-speed berms or clean tight, technical switchbacks, this 2-hour skills clinic will transform how you handle your bike when the trail twists.
You’ll break down cornering mechanics in a supportive, fun environment, learning how to let the bike lean while maintaining traction, flow, and speed.
Who This Is For:
Designed for adult mountain bikers (ages 18+) ranging from novice rider looking to build solid fundamentals to intermediate riders aiming to refine their line choice and exit speed. Riders should be comfortable riding singletrack trails.
What You’ll Learn:
🎯 Bike-Body Separation & Leaning: Learn how to tip your bike into turns while keeping your body centered and tire side-knobs engaged.
🎯 Traction & Footwork: Master pedal positioning, outside-foot pressure, and weight distribution to keep your tires glued to the dirt.
🎯 Line Choice & Vision: Train your eyes to look through turns, select the smoothest line, and carry momentum on exit.
🎯 Brake Control & Flow: Learn when and where to brake so you don’t scrub off speed halfway through a turn.
🎯 Tight Switchbacks: Technique strategies for navigating sharp, low-speed corners without stalling.
Why Join Us?
Certified, Expert Coaching: Step-by-step instruction broken down into clear, progressive drills.
Immediate, Personalized Feedback: Real-time coaching tailored to your specific technique and riding goals.
Inclusive & Supportive Community: Ride, practice, and celebrate progress alongside like-minded adult riders.
Ready to ride smoother, faster, and with way more flow? Space is limited to keep coaching groups small—reserve your spot today!
Rain date: Sunday, September 20, 2026
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Who is this clinic for?
This clinic is for riders of all genders, ages 18 and up. (We love seeing young riders getting stoked, but this one’s just for the adults.)
What kind of bike do I need?
Mountain bikes only for this one. You’ll need a bike with knobby tires and at least a front suspension fork. The skills we teach are specific to mountain biking, so proper mountain bike setup is essential.
🚫 No hybrid, gravel, or department store bikes — for safety reasons, these bikes aren’t permitted.
Do I need previous experience?
For this skills clinic, at a minimum, you should be reasonably comfortable riding on singletrack trails and feel ready to start getting some air under your tires. If you have been experimenting with sending drops but want guidance to refine your technique and learn different shapes of drops—this is the gamechanger you’ve been looking for!
What helmet and gear are required?
Yes, a cycling-specific helmet (less than 5 years old) is required. Knee and elbow pads are welcome but not required.
Do I need to pay to enter Christie Lake?
Yes — your StokedMTB registration does not include entry to Christie Lake Conservation Area. All participants are responsible for paying their own admission at the gate.

What happens if it rains?
We ride in the rain! If the weather makes learning conditions unsafe (lightning or torrential downpours), we’ll reach out with rescheduling options. The rain date for this event is Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Can I rent a bike or helmet?
StokedMTB does not offer rental. Please ensure your mountain bike and gear are in good working order before you arrive.
