Ready to go from rolling drops to sending them with confidence? Our Drops 101 clinic at BikeFest is designed for riders who want to learn safe technique for take-offs and landings, and for those looking to progress beyond the small drops they’re used to.

📍 Location: Horseshoe Bike Park Skills Area
In this 1-hour group lesson, StokedMTB instructors will guide you through the key skills to ride drops safely and with style. You’ll get progressive instruction and plenty of feedback to help you level up.
Meet-up:
Meet at the StokedMTB tent at 15 minutes before your session, ready to roll with your bike, your full-face helmet and adventurous spirit.
What to Expect:
Step-by-step progression for learning drops
Technique and timing for smooth, safe landings
Tips for adapting to different sizes, speeds, and shapes of drops
Small group size for optimal coaching and feedback
What You Need:
A mountain bike in good working order (disc brakes, knobby tires wider than 2”, hardtail or full suspension)
Full-face helmet (mandatory)*
Knee and elbow pads (recommended – demo gear available first-come, first-served)
Mountain biking shoes and pedals (flats recommended, clipless if preferred)
All genders welcome. Ages 18+.

*For this lesson, full face helmets are mandatory and you will not be able to participate without a full-face helmet. By registering for this lesson, you agree to this condition. Rental helmets are available at Horseshoe Resort.
Each Drops 101 session requires a minimum of 2 participants. If this minimum is not met, the session will be cancelled and registered riders will receive a full refund.
All genders welcome, ages 18+. Equipment rentals and lift tickets are not included in your registration for this StokedMTB group lesson.
