











Intro To Bike Park at BikeFest
Curious about downhill mountain biking but not sure where to start? Our Intro to Bike Park group lesson is designed for new and nervous riders who want to experience the thrill of gravity-fed riding with like-minded riders in a supportive and fun environment.
📅 Date: Saturday, September 13
⏰ Times: 9:30–11:30 | 1:30–3:30
📍 Location: Horseshoe Bike Park
In this 2-hour group lesson, our StokedMTB instructors will guide you through the basics of downhill riding — from loading the chairlift to navigating trails with confidence. You’ll learn the essential skills that make bike park riding both fun and safe.
Meet-up:
Meet at the StokedMTB tent at 15 minutes before your session, ready to roll with your bike, full-face helmet and adventurous spirit.
What to Expect:
Lift loading: how to safely load and unload yourself and your bike
Foundational downhill skills: body position, brake control, trail scanning
Guided runs on trails suited to your skill level
Trail etiquette and safety best practices
Small group size for personalized coaching
What You Need:
A mountain bike suitable for downhill riding, in good working order (disc brakes, knobby tires wider than 2”, and either full suspension or hardtail with suspension fork)
A lift pass for Horseshoe Bike Park (not included)
A full-face helmet is mandatory*
Knee and elbow pads (recommended – demo gear available first-come, first-served)
Mountain biking shoes and pedals (flats recommended, clipless if preferred)
All genders welcome. Ages 18+.

*For this lesson, full face helmets are mandatory and you will not be able to participate without a full-face helmet. By registering for this lesson, you agree to this condition. Rental helmets are available at Horseshoe Resort.
Each Intro To Bike Park session requires a minimum of 2 participants. If this minimum is not met, the session will be cancelled and registered riders will receive a full refund.
All genders welcome, ages 18+. Equipment rentals and lift tickets are not included in your registration for this StokedMTB group lesson.
